This engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, integration, and operational capabilities of the UNIX (Solaris and Red Hat) systems. He or She will coordinate the UNIX administration requirements between the system engineering, network, database, and storage teams, respectively. Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed monitoring tools. 2. Support 300+ servers in a 24x7 data center. 6. Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity. 7. Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science discipline preferred . 3 years experience in Sun/Solaris Server Support . In-depth knowledge of Solaris, Linux, Apache and SAN . Shell programming expertise . Network experience . Strong troubleshooting experience Computer Skills .
