Description
Job Responsibilities– Member of Joint Operation Planning and Execution System Project (JOPES) team, one of several system administrators who provide systems operation management for development and maintenance of JOPES, Adaptive Planning, and Force Projection applications and services. Manage all system administration resources to support multiple development and testing environments. Coordinate with project management, developers, testers, and CM to ensures that application, database, web, and support servers are used effectively and are available to support all software maintenance, development, special project, and testing requirements. Oversee all Unix and Windows system and network administration for JOPES. Provide recommendations on server maintenance options, purchases of additional equipment and software, and possible resolution of issues impacting systems equipment, training, or personnel. Responsible for internal systems administration support (user password, server builds, transition of environments, and Pragmatics application/database/web server problem report and change request resolution) as well as external (system administration support for DISA SIT, SAT, OT events, assistance to developers and database administrators for JOPES problem report and change request resolution, and coordination on development of JOPES installation and build documentation). Provides system administration services in all JOPES areas to troubleshoot and resolve operating system, network and hardware problems that may be affecting the JOPES applications.

Required Skills– 2-5 years of installing, maintaining, and repairing PCs, client server systems, and associated peripheral equipment; experience with Solaris UNIX.
Desired Skills -Experience with RH Linux, and VMWare
Education & years of experience– BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent. Solaris or other professional certifications are a plus.
Clearance– Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start, active Secret clearance preferred.
