Description
Requirements: Highly experienced Air Force pilot or navigator. SECRET clearance; previously rated USAF experience as an instructor pilot or instructor navigator/electronic warfare officer. Shall also possess HAF or MAJCOM HQ staff experience, experience in the flying training environment, and in-depth working knowledge of flying training requirements. Background and/or experience in USAFA Airmanship Programs is desired. Familiarity with the Air Force Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) to include the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) build is desired. Experience with the Flying Training CONOPs process and flying hour program and Programmed Flying Training (PFT) development is highly desired. Job Duties: Plans, manages, interprets, and integrates USAFA Airmanship training tasking into a Program Flying Training (PFT) process to meet Air Force requirements. Develops flying training resource requirements and coordinates with appropriate offices including Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Major Command Headquarters (MAJCOM HQs), Numbered Air Force (NAF), and United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) to ensure resource requirements are incorporated into the command's Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission. Publishes PFT documents based on flying training Concept of Operations (CONOPS) guidance. Develops and manages Airmanship training quotas and the USAFA Flying Hour Program (FHP) during execution year to respond to customer needs. Develops and maintains metrics for Airmanship training and flying hour programs used to provide senior leadership with program status and forecasting information. Designs and conducts comprehensive studies involving the planning, programming and execution of Airmanship training programs. Manages and provides a wide range of informational products that measure program effectiveness, and assess execution of USAFA Airmanship programs, and track data. Includes statistical data from resource programming models and other data automation products to ensure effective Airmanship training resource programming and PFT publication.
