We are currently seeking an entry level Developer to join our innovative and dynamic team. This position will be based at our office located in Allison Park, PA.
Overview:
Primary responsibilities for this position will be to convert VB6 applications to and develop new applications that integrate with our customer application system. Additional responsibilities include managing and documenting projects and assisting with testing on all new product development.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Convert programs currently running in different languages into
Develop software on Windows platform (hands on code development) to established standards and specifications in order to meet key business objectives
Translate user requirements into overall solution architecture for complex technical solutions
Communicate with programming team and coordinate requirements and enhancements
Review computer system capabilities, work flow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
Recognize, identify and document potential areas where existing business processes require change, or where new processes need to be developed, and make recommendations in these areas
Work independently and resolve complex problems with limited supervision
Conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs
Assist with customer support on difficult live application issues, and may diagnose/solve immediate customer needs in conjunction with Support Staff

Experience:
Experience in programming, application development and/or designing customized tools
VB 6, , SQL, Crystal Reports
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS or equivalent combination of experience/education in a developer role.
