Virtualization Solutions Architect
Acts as the 'owner' of one or more move packages from the point of its definition through the completion of its migration. Develops and maintains relationships with associated application owners and application teams.
Coordinates the planning and execution of move packages with Dell and customer teams according to the defined schedule, strategy, and processes.
Requirements:
Heavy vSphere experience in a large environment.
Extensive experience with large scale projects involving P2V, V2V, etc..
Need strong communication skills with good technical skills.
Ability to act as an advisor to senior executives for all aspects of the implementation of new solutions
Strong project/program management experience leading large complex engagements for enterprise customers
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Advanced communication ability required - provide concise delivery status, schedule progress and milestone attainment, communicate and drive technical issue resolution.
Experience in the design of complex IT solutions to address business needs, while maintaining sight of the technical validity and supportability of the solution
Develops white papers on emerging technologies to demonstrate innovative approach to solving complex issues
Demonstrates ability to research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies.
Windows XP, 7 and Server 2008R2
Experience with implementation design and deployment
In depth knowledge of SAN based network storage, SAN Configuration and LUN design
Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, time & project management, and technical writing skills required
Sense of urgency when deploying IT solutions and follow-up paperwork
Deliver guidance in the form of prototypes, whitepapers, and test results
