Job Description We are looking for a team player who has an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative approach to collective problem solving and software development to join our rapidly growing healthcare payment processing company. This developer will be become part of our product development team and contribute to this team by managing changes to the existing production environment and assisting development efforts for software extensions, alterations and new features for existing and new product lines for payment/claim interfaces. If you are sick of working in a large corporate environment and are looking for exciting challenges and an opportunity to work in a fast paced and diverse team environment then this is definitely a position you should consider. Specific responsibilities: § Provide full life cycle support for code changes in the production environment and development of new extensions to existing platform. § Analyze business requirements and scope of programming tasks, including preparation of time estimates for assignments. § Provide on call support for production environment. § Assist the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the development group such as code migration, change control, and quality assurance procedures. § Develop systems documentation. § Maintain a high proficiency level with system architectures and database system models. § Contribute to a nimble and responsive application development organization. Minimum Qualifications: § Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. § 2+ years experience with Visual Basic. § Advanced knowledge of SQL Server (2000 or higher). § Experience with Crystal Reports. Additional Preferred Skills: § Administration of VMWare § Familiar with ACRONIS Backup Software Virtual Edition § Experience with implementation of production changes in a structured development environment. § Experience with a health insurance company, TPA, or claim processor and a thorough understanding on the underlying structure of claims transactions. § Healthcare industry exposure including experience with HIPPA, ERISA, or other financial services / healthcare regulatory requirements. § Experience with Healthcare EDI standards such as 835s. § Experience with job scheduling tools. § Expertise in the utilization of standard QA / testing tools. § Experience with code deployments in either a production support or new development role. § Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, and issue resolution.
