Skilled technician needed to provide technical operation and support, as well as management, of video teleconference (VTC) and audio/visual (AV) systems. Duties include scheduling of classified and unclassified Internet (IP) and ISDN video teleconferences for national and international meetings, as well as instructing users in the use and operation of portable VTC systems. Pre-conference testing and setup will be conducted for video teleconferences and/or meetings. * Coordinates with department personnel to determine routine audio visual needs and to provide appropriate assistance.
* Sets up and adjusts audio visual equipment to meet needs as requested.
* Performs routine maintenance to ensure audio visual equipment is functioning properly.
* Loads presentations onto laptops or other computers to ensure relevant material is easily available and accessible to presenters.
* Diagnoses audio visual problems during conferences and presentations; provides and implements appropriate solutions.
Basic Qualifications
* High school diploma or G.E.D.
* One or more years of experience in audio visual services
* Experience working with audio and video conferencing equipment such as telephones, microphones, projection systems
* Experience working with computer hardware and software * Strong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot, manage, diagnose, and resolve of a wide variety of issues concerning for VTC and A/V equipment related voice/data communications.
Other Qualifications
* Personal computer and business solutions (or presentation) software skills
* Communication skills for communicating and coordinating with business unit personnel
