Position Description This position will be responsible for operating and adjusting automated equipment and running several moderately complex processes. Undertake routine maintenance of equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
> Set-up and operation of production processes / equipment > Adjustments to processes and equipment as required > Responsible for product routing and process control (quality, yield, cycle time etc.) > Planning and execution of preventive process/equipment maintenance and problem solving as required by established practice > Perform required inspections/measurements to ensure process/product quality > Basic analysis of operational problems/SPC excursions as they occur at the work center > Fill out appropriate documentation (QIS, BAAN) > Handle chemicals as required by process > Respect established standards and norms, including health and safety > Execute all other assigned tasks
Position Requirements > Electronic Technician/Technologist Diploma > Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset > Flexibility to work a variety of shifts > Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with good manual dexterity > Ability to exercise good judgment > Basic understanding of equipment, processes and overall process flow > Basic knowledge of product/devices, measurement tools, process/equipment and control systems (eg. temperature, gas flows, vacuum, pattern recognition, hydraulics, mechanics, electricity) > Basic understanding of quality systems (SPC, documentation) > Excellent verbal and written communication skills > Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team > Demonstrated commitment to quality and health and safety
