Kelly IT Resources has an opportunity for a .NET developer in the West Michigan area. Kelly IT Resources is among the largest and most respected technology recruitment firms in the country.
Our client is looking for a Web Application Developer to join our Grand Rapids IT team. In addition to other duties, this individual will be primarily responsible for working with the Website Manager on the research, evaluation and implementation of technologies used on the Internet, Intranet, and online store web sites, the databases used by these sites, and the integration of these sites with other systems.
Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and program web pages using , C , .Net Technologies, Sharepoint, JavaScript, AJAX, and other programming conventions or languages as required by the project specifications.
• Assist in maintaining Client s web servers to ensure peak performance and availability.
• Develop knowledge of web security concerns and technologies and notify the Website Manager of any potential liabilities of our systems.
• Follow and take key role in establishing standards for Client in developing and implementing web applications.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting web site utilization; notify Website Manager of any bottlenecks or deficiencies discovered.
• Develop expertise in web technologies, recommending new technologies consistent with the objectives of the company.
• Develop expertise in database query and retrieval methods that can be used in various applications, with emphasis on data retrieval techniques used on web sites.
• Work with Website Manager in developing specifications for new web applications or functionality of the web sites.
• Assist in training and support of the users of the web applications implemented.
• Maintain documentation for web site and web application changes made.
• Ensure web sites and web databases are backed up with company standard backup routines.
• Assist with submission of Web Site to search engines on the web.
• Recommend changes to the systems or procedures to improve the quality of client websites.
• Assist in maintaining website visitor/customer privacy security while visiting website.
• Take primary role of call support for Intranet, online web store, and internal assistance to application support for online product registration/licensing.
• Assist as backup support for CRM, service management and firewall/network administration.
• Provide assistance to the other teams in the IT department as required

General Requirements:

• Bachelors degree.
• Three years experience with .NET application development architecture
• Previous database experience, ideally with Microsoft SQL server.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill to deal effectively with a variety of people technical, non-technical .
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• Working knowledge of Network Operating Systems, Network Design and Desktop Operating Systems.
• Ability to effectively perform the above mentioned essential job functions.
