Web Designer / Developer
Ply Gem Windows Group, a member of the Ply Gem family, is currently searching for a Web Designer/Developer who has a high level of creative talent and proven ability in graphic/web design. Must have a great design sense for front end sizzle and the techy know-how to make micro-sites easy to navigate and function across MAC and PC platforms. This position will be based in Roanoke, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
Maintain brand image, ensuring that websites and mobile applications portray desired image and capture desired customer base and audience
Consult with advertising agency on development and coordination of company web sites
Assist with the creation of online visual design, typography, visual concept, logos, icons, and other interactive platforms including web banners and full websites
Coordinate the development of mobile applications for Android, Apple, and BlackBerry
Build micro-sties
Requirements:
High school diploma with five - eight years related experience; Bachelor’s degree in Web Design/Development or comparable discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
2 years of agency or marketing experience preferred
Experience in mobile application development (Android, Apple, and BlackBerry)
Highly developed oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated effective skills in web design and knowledge of MAC and PC platforms, MAC authoring platform
Knowledge of front end design and functionality
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript and Flash is required
Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
Knowledge of social media is preferred
