Wayside Technology Group -- a unified and integrated technology company is seeking a Web Developer. General Summary: The Web Developer will work within the Developer Team to design, develop and maintain all .Net applications within Wayside Technology Group. Candidates for this position will need to be ready for the most cutting edge technology, as well as transaction processing and complex database interaction. As a Web Developer, you will be involved in the more challenging or domain-specific projects, and must have both the instincts and experience to move rapidly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Develop new architecture and maintain existing architecture of .Net applications (ie Websites, Intranet, internal applications) * Integrate pre-built products into the Wayside Technology Network, working closely with 3rd party vendor technical support. * Contribute ideas and constructive criticism to bi-weekly peer code reviews. * Develop Requirement Documents, Code Specification documents for planned software modules. * Contribute creative technical ideas at weekly scheduled meetings regarding the development of software modules. * Performance tuning and Optimization. Organizational Relationships The Web Developer will report to the Manager of Information Systems, but will work with other technical IT staff on a daily basis. The web developer will also need to communicate with outside vendors with questions regarding APIs of 3rd party products. Significant responsibility will be delegated to you for architecture/design decisions by the Manager of Information Systems ? you must be able to make decisions on your own, establish timelines and meet them. Required Qualifications * 1) Knowledge, skills & abilities: * 2-4 years professional development experience, esp. , , C#.Net, Microsoft SQL, AJAX and other Microsoft related technologies. * Prior E-commerce related experience preferred. * 2+ years experience with MS SQL Server (versions 20, 2005, 2008). * Solid project management, communications, team and interpersonal skills required. * Demonstrated technical leadership and proven ability to ship product on-time. Equivalent experience considered. * 2) Minimum education level: * BA/BS in CS/EE or other technical discipline preferred. * 3) Experience: * 5 yrs professional experience required. * 4) Security Level: * Administrator Level for Web Platform (Dev, Staging and Production Environments) We enjoy a casual dress code and operate in a state-of-the art environment in a great location near the New Jersey shore.
