Job Description
This position will play a key role in providing WebSphere Application Server support to internal business units and their business critical applications. This Individual will support multiple middleware products and applications from development through production including administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning. Platforms supported include: Windows, Solaris, Linux and VMware in an enterprise class environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide WebSphere support for multiple business critical applications.
Work with business units as well as cross functional operational teams to deploy and maintain middleware based applications.
Installation, configuration, migration and troubleshooting of Webshpere, Weblogic, JBoss, Glassfish and Apache products.
Take part in weekly on-call rotation to provide 24/7 technical support.
Advanced investigation and resolution of all application and environment issues.
Configure monitoring tools for troubleshooting, reporting, capacity planning and trending.
This position will work with confidential and proprietary information that requires a signed IT Employee Invention and Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering or information systems field OR four or more years of technical experience. Intermountain Healthcare verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment.
Three or more years of middleware technology experience
Demonstrated working technical knowledge of middle tier administration, solutions and services, including TCP/IP networking, database structures and development life cycle
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of experience with WebSphere v6.1 or greater
UNIX & Windows fundamentals and scripting skills
Experience with Windows Server 2003 or greater
Experience with Apache Web Server
Experience with Hobbit/Xymon monitoring
Experience with CA Technology Tools - Wily IntroScope, CEM, NetQos, and Spectrum.
Experience with Tivoli Access Manager
Experience with SSL
ITIL certification
