Responsible for and assists with analysis, design, and implementation of business processes, data management, workflows and lifecycles within the Windchill applications. Provide technical & analytical support for development, enhancement, production support, troubleshooting and maintenance of system integrations with other client business systems, (Pro/E, Solidworks). Work as a liaison between departments, end users and management to provide efficient and effective business processes. Provide instructional support & mentoring to assist users of the applications used for PDM, PLM, and CAD. This may include opening support calls & working with outside vendor help desk systems. Responsible for troubleshooting data, software & user processes as well as mentoring new users on proper use of the systems. Know and comply with all applicable Client Work Instructions and policies in working with and advising users. To work on various other projects as directed by IT management. Essential Functions/ Job Duties:
* Serves as a liaison with users in the design, modification, re-configuration and implementation of the application pushing its functionality beyond existing capabilities by, for example, introducing new functionality and features. * Works closely with internal and external application developers to: understand current functionality and technology convey user requirements / design objectives and scope, assess the appropriateness of the proposed solutions and coordinate & monitor the successful implementation of chosen applications. * Coordinates and implements application enhancements, updates and upgrades including: analysis, design specifications and liaison between application developers and users. Insures users are kept informed of all changes; and updates are fully tested before going live. Adheres to company and user department polices on information security and confidentiality. * Troubleshoots application problems and provides or obtains their timely resolution. * Completes complex systems administration responsibilities. * Provides escalated Tier 2 support. * Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the users on the network. * Manage all assigned work by Application Manager through to completion. * Continuously improve knowledge of PTC products and other technologies involving the Windchill applications. * Take part in the on call rotating schedule for 24/7 coverage for outages and business critical issues. * Management may, at its discretion, assign or reassign responsibilities to this job at any time.
Other Responsibilities * May perform in the capacities of system administration and application developer. * Depending upon the application, may have additional responsibilities. Qualifications:
* Education: BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. * Experience: 3+ years experience in systems analyst and application program development with Windchill products. * System expertise in core functionality of assigned application: Windchill PDMLink, Project Link and ProductView. * Must exhibit a high-level of analytical skills and attention to detail. * Must be able to understand the business process and requirements to design / configure assigned applications. * Must be able to work creatively, calmly, flexibly and under tight deadlines in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting/multiple demands and opportunities. * Ability to clearly communicate in English with users, co-workers, application developers and upper management both verbally and in writing. * Ability to work collaboratively with 3rdparties such as applications developers so that business requirements are addressed to the satisfaction of the user. * Highly self-motivated and directed team player. * Provide excellence customer support and service. * Design and implement workflows and controls working from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration. * Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
Desired Skills * Ability to develop and deliver Windchill training to user community. * Windchill 10.0 experience. * Experience in a Consumer Products and/or Governments Contracts company. * Familiarity with CAD Tools - Creo(Pro/E), Solidworks and Altium. * Knowledge of PTC’s products – Partslink, Supplier Management, ECAD WGM * Windchill ESI and Oracle ERP knowledge Next Steps:
