Wireless Engineer - DIRECT LABOR
The Wireless Engineer will use Government Furnished Equipment to sustain a capability to rapidly identify vulnerabilities in specific wireless devices, protocols, base stations, and/or connectivity to the internet. The engineer will help provide a sustained in-house capability to develop wireless network defense techniques as well as provide a sustained capability to perform advanced wireless security research and development. In addition, the engineer will provide effective wireless network tools designed to scan, fingerprint, geo-locate, etc. on a specific or generic wireless network.
Required Skills: Contract personnel shall possess extensive knowledge of various wireless protocols and standards, base station operations/internet and network backhaul systems and operations, cellular phone operating systems, cellular phone internal components and their physical and logical interaction with the globally interconnected Internet. Contract personnel shall have a working knowledge of cell systems, augmented with very strong networking and 802.11 wireless background.
Education
Required: BS in Computer Science or related area.
Security Clearance: Top Secret clearance required with recent (within two years) holding of SCI Clearance.Desired Technical Skills:
* 802.11 diagnostics tools
* Understanding of LTE and WiMAX
* Embedded systems
