HPSolution Consulting Services(SCS) is HP's business consulting competence for the Communication & Media market. (please refer further insight). The worldwide leadership team of SCS seeks for a Principal Consultant to help affiliates of the Telenor group embark on the journey of business transformations that imply technology transformation along with process improvement, culture change as well as organizational alignment.

The Principal Consultant role is a critical, dynamic and high profile leadership position within the worldwide SCS team as well as in the Telenor Account Team that operates seamlessly at the executive-levels within the entire Telenor group as the trusted advisor. The Principal Consultant is the WW subject matter expert and lead consultant in pursuing complex business transformation projects for Telenor affiliates. The Telenor Principal Consultant takes the lead in developing strategy, architecture and business case transformation programs in conjunction with rest of HP software groups, Technical Services and Enterprise Services Business Units.

The Principal Consultant responsibilities will range depending on market needs and client opportunities on a World-wide basis from pre-sales pursuit support to sales of complex Business Transformation engagements, and consequently carries a quota. The Principal Consultant will be required to architect and create business viable solutions for Telenor affiliates and provide expertise in the areas of business case development, process consulting, organizational change, enterprise architecture design- including technology selection, transformation planning and governance.

The role requires an international individual with strong leadership capabilities that is passionate about working in complex environments, matrixes organizations, and various locations on a global basis within the entire Telenor group. They will be required to "lead by delivering" in customer engagements and in parallel work internally on: skills transfer, coaching, mentoring, and ramping up regional and country delivery organizations and expected to pursuit along with the HP's Account General Manager looking after the Telenor Group.

The role requires a "team player and leader" who form a part of a "high performing team" and must demonstrate being dynamic, flexible, creative, collaborative, and passionate about delivery customer business value and delivering successful transformation programs.

Responsibilities:
* Pursuit process, strategy, business case and change consulting for Communications & Media domain solutions within Telenor group on a quota basis. The focus is the Total business generation
* Help Telenor affiliates worldwide innovate and formulate business solutions and "technology enabled" business models and new ways of doing business to create breakthrough positions in the marketplace.
* Explains how and where technology can be used to address key business processes in a particular domain.
* Get involved in the strategy and business issues identification and resolution in order to provide input to HP account teams to develop account plans.
* Manage the strategic relationship with the client's middle management, and act as a trusted advisor in transforming the client's business.
* Apply developed SCS subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
* Work on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope.
* Experience in delivering Enterprise Architecture, process framework, SID, rollout, implementation approach, business modes, organisational models, trends, best practices. Both sales and delivery attitude. Process and application skills. Customer oriented approach.
* Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
* May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process.
* Provide field requirements against the SCS portfolio and related assets, and make available IP generated during project deliveries in order to support development POR guidance
* Execute intensive SCS skills transfer to project team members not experienced in SCS/business consulting during start-up
* Participate actively to the SCS profession program and the related community
* Develop project documentation (e.g. customer presentations, proposal templates, case studies, and etc.) by adapting, evolving or localizing existing SCS assets
* Has extensive experience in one or more industry acknowledged architectural modeling frameworks, methodologies (e.g. SEI, Zachman, TOGAF, ITSM, .)., and tools and understands how to apply this knowledge to successfully deliver customer projects.
* Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or Master's (graduate) degree in Information technology and/or Telecommunications Engineering and/or MBA.
* Senior level business consulting experience - minimum 5 to 10 years business systems consulting experience preferably with tier 1 level industry leaders.
* Must have insight into the corporate strategy of Telenor Group, including the marketing, IT, service, customer management strategies
* Must have an intimacy and trust within Telenor affiliates
* Must have experience in delivering business as well as IT transformation projects.
* Must have experience in delivering consulting in at least one of the following areas: process engineering, Transformation governance, organizational change, enterprise architecture.
* Must have experience in creating and delivering professional workshops and trainings.
* Must have experience in Facilitation and Leading workshops for Communications and Media customers.
* Must have experience with Project/Program Management..
* Must have experience in working in an international environment spanning several countries, cultures, and geographic locations.
* Desire and Passion to work within an International Team and non-traditional work hours.
* Detailed understanding of Consulting, Systems Integration and Outsourcing businesses.
* Experience in working with Telenor
* Experience in managing a team of outcome focussed solution consultants in terms Practice outcomes, customer technology outcomes, setting direction, people management, professional development and cost.
* Must have strong teamwork capabilities to create good trust and confidence with customers and within delivery teams
* Master level of knowledge across multiple technologies or IT/telco disciplines.
* Understanding and experience in application of systems engineering driven program/project management methods and processess to define, plan, cost, resource, track to ensure the accomplishement of targeted goals for large complex enterprise or global level systems integration projects.
* Able to align business goals with IT capabilities
* Efficient and pragmatic in capturing requirements, facilitating consolidation of conflicting expectations, manage politics of the customer
* Capable to orchestrate complex solutions that encompasses processes, complex application-architectures as well as organizational capabilities
* Experience in COTS applications (preferably HP solutions, Oracle, Telcordia, Amdocs products and related best practices)
* Must have experience in Business Cases, RoI, efficient identification of business goals and solution benefits.
* Experience in leading the preparation of proposals and bids for large enterprise or global level solutions that span multiple technologies or operational areas.
Knowledge and Skills Required
* Must have knowledge in Telco and IT industry standards.
* Must have knowledge about communications & media industry operational best practices.
* Must have strong teamwork capabilities to create good trust and confidence with delivery enablement and business development in order to maximize the effectiveness of skills transfer, IP collection and pre-sales activities
* Must have strong teamwork capabilities and experience in mentoring, coaching, and enabling individual contributors
* Must have demonstrated leadership in leading group of interest in a professional environment
* Must have strong presentation skills that implies presentation creation (strong experience in MS PowerPoint) as well as delivery of the presentation with passion
* Must have strong process-design capabilities, business case preparation (that implies hands-on MS Excel experience)
* Capable to create effective proposals and customer deliverables at a very high quality.
* Project planning and estimation capabilities.
