Overview:
Managers are responsible for a defined work function and/or a suite of systems. Manage the resources necessary to support and execute all phases of multiple project life cycles. Uses a broad knowledge of the business and technical system applications to ensure the integrity, stability and systems availability to our customer base.
Builds effective teams through coaching, mentoring and career planning. Develops cross-functional partnerships. Supports and upholds the integrity of ongoing methodology and approach for new systems.

Key Accountabilities:
Personnel, project management and coordination using, but not limited to, the following abilities and qualities:
Must have come into management from a strong technical background including Mainframe, CA/Datacom/DB andDB2 or some combination there of.
Must have experience managing stong techincal teams and a must to have a strong Mainframe background.
Must have strong project management skills, including resource coordination and issue resolution.
Must be receptive to a diverse and dynamic workplace.
Must be able to keeps management informed regrading projects and personnel issues and successes.
Significant, successful and proven Information Technology and Retail industry experience.
Ability to make difficult decisions based upon solid business judgment.
Effective follow-up and appropriate escalation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build strong collaborative partnerships across functional lines and at many levels within M ST, Macy's and other business partners.
Professional demeanor and approach to job responsibilities.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, both written and orally, with all levels.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, time management, crisis management, and meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to manage change effectively and maintain a flexible management response to changing circumstances and customer needs.
Ability to establish and maintain standards and quality assurance measurements.
Comprehensive PC skills that include standard MST business tools appropriate to position.
Ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop associates. Should be able to model professional management skills and behaviors.
