CISCO SYSTEMS CORPORATION, Austin, Tx. - Electronics Test Engineer/technician. My experience includes designing and building custom test equipment used to validate the electronic design of the Catalyst 2k & 3k switching product lines. I was responsible for establishing an automated testing standard within my group (both H/W & S/W) this included but is not limited to: specifying the equipment required, building & deploying the Linux servers & equipment test racks, Adding the test setups into the lab network at multiple sites, evaluating new designs & developing test strategies, providing prototype requirements, writing test plans, executing the automated testing & providing assistance to the system design engineer in debugging issues, mentoring coworkers & providing budget input. I also was required to provide assistance in debugging released products to determine if design issues were the cause & if so enhancing the testing to eliminate the possibility of a test escape, . I was required to travel to Chelmsford, Ma., San Jose, Ca., Guadalajara Mexico, Pattaya Thailand, Shanghai China & Taipei Taiwan to assist in the hiring of personel installation, startup & Training of personnel on the process, use & maintenance (both H/W & S/W) of the setups. I have a working knowledge of Linux (Red hat, Fedora & Centos), WindowsXP, Windows Vista & Windows Seven Operating Systems as well as the office suite & Tcl, Csh & basic programming languages. I have experience with Cisco IOS, & Cisco LAN, Switches, Routers. I have used many different types of test equipment including Scopes, MultiMeters, programmable power supplies (AC & DC), programmable loads, programmable traffic generators (IXIA & Spirent), programmable pulse pattern generators, programmable environmental chambers I can learn new things quickly. I am mechanically inclined as well & can use the standard power tools (mill, drill press, lathe, table saw, band saw etc.) for fabrication of custom jigs.

troubleshooting & repairing Vtels PC based Video Conferencing Equipment to the component level. This included working closely with Engineering, The Technicial Assistance Center & Resellers to resolve Manufacturing, Design & Customer issues. In many cases I worked with the customer/reseller directly at the customers site. I provided & purchased for the company the Test equipment required to debug test & repair Vtels products. I assisted in the Design & maintenance of the Product Support WEB site. I Assisted in the maintenance & operation of the WAN & LAN & PCs at the MFG site.

includes building custom test equipment, repair & maintenance of all of the test equipment (including the in circuit testers & Environmental Chambers) that manufacturing used for product verification. In most cases the repairs required component level troubleshooting due to time constraints & non-modular design. I worked at Eagle for 3 years in the Repair & Return Department as a repair technician repairing Eagles products before being promoted to Test Engineering. I gained soldering & troubleshooting experience on microprocessor based systems during this time.
