Current role: In my role, I create strategic workflow processes to managing executive meetings with leading corporations and publishing companies. I also continuously monitor emerging technologies to make certain that Techbooks is at the forefront of the publishing industry, leveraging new advancements to improve solutions for its customers. What's been your best job and why? My best job has been heading sales, production and technology. This gave me the control to connect the dots between what the client needs, what we need as a corporation to grow and maintain profitability and finally how we can use technology as a differentiator. What do you think is the number one non-IT skill IT professionals need today?The most critical thing is to manage the mindset change as technology-led initiatives try to replace human being in tasks.

What do you credit your career success to? I credit this to multiple factors including a mentor, education and parents. What's your favorite IT resource site and why? www.w3c.org I really believe XML is the solution for any kind of content transformation. All technology solutions revolve around how we can use XML to provide a solution. What is the best career advice you've ever received? My father told me to focus on what you think you can do and you will be successful. What would you advise someone looking to find the type of role you currently have? This is a tough road. One has to focus on the pain people are going through and determine how to find the best solutions. If you can do that, it will help you get here. What is the one career decision you would change if you could? I have not made many career changes. The biggest move for me was to leave a company that I started from scratch and join Techbooks. In the end I believe it was a good move. If you had the choice to jump into any other job, tech or non-tech, what would it be? I would love to go to a not-for-profit social service.
