    Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility for the .NET Developer

    Location: Virtual / remote

    Job Purpose of the .NET Developer:

    NCR's Transportation Management solution portfolio optimizes the efficiency of all your transportation needs. Our transportation optimization software reduces both inbound and outbound freight costs. And, whether inventory is coming or going to your warehouse, our dock and yard management systems ensure it moves as efficiently as possible. And finally, we manage the last mile of the supply chain as well with our proof-of-delivery software that verifies that all orders arrive to your customers or retail locations.

    In this .NET Developer role, you will be developing application systems that comply with the standard system development lifecycle methodology and concepts for design, programming, backup, and recovery to deliver solutions that have superior quality, performance, and integrity to our customers. You will be responsible for customer-driven customization and base development.

    Functions of the .NET Developer:

    • Analyze, develop, and implement solutions for complex business and system opportunities focused on .NET software for warehouse management systems and supply chain management

    • Exhibit excellent communication all levels of employees, and clients

    • Maintain existing and develop new programs to meet business requirements

    • Leads projects or tasks as required and develops project plans and manages those plans

    • Elicit, prepare, and/or approve requirements documents, specification documents, and database definitions.

    • Study, analyze, and define the impact of the user's business needs on the system components and its interfaces to provide maximum benefits from each system.

    • Provide operational support of application during regular hours and/or during on-call rotation

    • Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and tollgates.

    • Develop documentation regarding the end use of the application and the technical support of the application.

    • Knowledge of Supply Chain business process concepts and techniques, software applications and tools

    • Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities

    • A self-starter with a strong desire and capability to learn new software and systems

    Basic Qualifications of the .NET Developer

    • Technical skills: C#, JQuery-UI, HTML, Expert in CSS, Asp.Net, Asp.Net MVC, Microsoft SQL Server TSQL

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Business or related field; or appropriate technical training and/or equivalent job experience

    • 10+ or more years of progressively responsible experience in .NET systems development is ideal

    • 5+ years experience in WMS/SCM Software is preferred

    • Career concentration on business application development, maintenance and support

    • Proficient in using structured systems development methods, techniques, and tools.
