    We are looking for a talented Student to join our 2024 Summer School to Work - Mechanical Engineering - Inverters in Troy, MI.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Join our growing Inverter team as a Mechanical Design School to Work, where you'll immerse yourself in the cutting-edge world of automotive electrification.

    • This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and assembly of next-generation automotive inverters while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

    • Design Support: Assist in the design and development of automotive inverters under the guidance of experienced engineers.

    • Prototype Assembly: Participate in the assembly and testing of prototype automotive inverters. Learn soldering techniques, harness assembly, and mechanical integration procedures.

    • Documentation: Document design changes, assembly procedures, and test results accurately.

    • Contribute to the creation of technical reports and presentations for internal review and knowledge sharing.

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering, or High School Junior/Senior

    • Strong interest in automotive electrification and power electronics.

    • Basic knowledge of CAD software CREO is a plus.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.

    • Previous experience with hands on electronics is a plus.

    • Involvement in Robotics events like FIRST robotics is preferred

    • Involvement in Automotive events as College BAJA or Formula SAE is preferred

    • Pay starting at $19.25/HR or higher, based on current education level.

    • This is a Student Position: M-F (8 AM - 5 PM Flexible). No more than 19 hours a week.

    Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
