    An AutoCAD Technician plays a crucial role in the design and drafting industry, utilizing AutoCAD software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs. Beyond traditional CAD work, this position involves problem-solving, logical reasoning, and collaboration with various teams. The AutoCAD Technician ensures that community-specific plans, options, and elevations are accurately set up and maintained. Additionally, they manage files to ensure organization and accessibility.

    Skills and Requirements

    Education: An Associates or Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical, Drafting, Engineering, Design, or Architecture).

    AutoCAD Proficiency: Strong competency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is essential.

    Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think logically, solve puzzles, and address design challenges.

    File Management: Experience in maintaining organized files and ensuring version control.

    Team Focus: A collaborative mindset and willingness to work with various teams.

    Customer Service: Good interpersonal skills for interactions with colleagues and other departments.

    Design Logic and Problem-Solving:

    Working with intricate design components that are set up as smaller pieces.

    Applying option logic to create final designs based on community-specific requirements.

    Community Setup

    Setting up community-specific design parameters.

    Ensuring that Resource Planning staff can only select plans, options, and elevations relevant to each community.

    File Management

    Maintaining an organized file system for all applicable drawings and related files.

    Ensuring files are up to date and accessible to relevant teams.

    Collaboration and Communication

    Interacting with multiple departments across six divisions.

    Demonstrating good verbal and written communication skills.
