    WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineer for our Charlotte office.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist and support design teams in the execution of transportation projects

    • Provide technical support in various stages of project, including conceptual design, preliminary design, and final design including plans preparation and cost estimates;

    • Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design;

    • Maintain positive team relationships;

    • Assist and coordinate with key staff across disciplines (i.e. drainage, structures) as required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accredited Civil Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program

    • 1 year or less post graduate work experience

    • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework

    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills

    • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products

    • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Interest in transportation

    • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

    • Experience with CAD software - MicroStation

    • Experience with CAD software - AutoCAD
