Civil Engineering Technician/Designer (Hybrid)

System One is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technician/Designer (hybrid) on a 6 month contract position located in Savannah, GA.

Civil Tech/Designer Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, performs functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating or modifying deliverable.

• Provides technical guidance to other engineering technicians. T

• his role will be responsible for the development site drainage, grading, utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation.

• This role will be within the Governments & Water Utilities (G&Wu) group, supporting client needs related to water, wastewater, linear pipelines, and other water-related solutions.

• Significant Civil 3D experience is required with use of pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces and plan and profile development.

Civil Tech/Designer Requirements:

• Autodesk Civil 3D

• Autodesk AutoCAD

• Bluebeam

• Typically, 5 years related experience

• Experience in the appropriate electronic applications and programs required for performing assignments to include but not limited to CADD or other electronic applications.?

• Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.???

• Intermediate knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and company policies and procedures.???

• Intermediate industry knowledge and technology trends.?

• Intermediate knowledge of company quality program.?

• Intermediate knowledge of other disciplines.?

• Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles.?

• Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides related to assigned engineering discipline.?

• Basic knowledge of procurement & contract administration.?

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Duration: 6 months

Location: Savannah, GA

Pay Rate: $35-40.10/hr

This is a hybrid position, 3 days in office a week is required,
