  • This Opportunity

    WSP is currently seeking a Construction Office Engineer I to join our team helping oversee various State road and bridge projects, across New England, with construction values ranging from $1-$15 million.

    The successful candidate will possess demonstrated construction documentation experience, understanding of the owner representative role, with the versatility to periodically inspect various work elements, helping observe and report on project quality, progress and safety. This position would report to the resident engineer, or their designee.

    Your Impact

    Job Duties

    • Assist administer contract activities and assist with reporting and other essential project documentation requirements.

    • Review daily inspector reports, track quantities, assist with reconciliation of payment items, review and help compile pay estimates.

    • Assist coordinate material sampling, testing and certificate of compliance process.

    • Process shop drawings, extra work orders, and other similar documents.

    • Prepare and maintain document control filing system.

    • Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local, and privately funded improvement and development projects.

    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

    • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

    Who You Are

    Minimum Requirements

    • 5 years of relevant construction project office engineering experience.

    • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

    • Valid driver's license.

    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedure.

    • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Associate of Science of Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Computer Science, Accounting or related field.

    • Hands-on familiarity with Site Manager, Field Manager, APPIA, Doc Express software, or similar platforms for contract administration, documentation management or construction management.

    • Above average proficiency with MS WORD Suite.

    This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.

    Travel expenses are available for the selected candidate, when traveling within Vermont, or from nearby states.
