Construction Technical Service Engineer

KBR is looking for a Construction Technical Service Engineer who, under general direction, will be responsible for the daily operations of an individual project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.

The Construction Technical Service Engineer will contribute to the development of construction strategies and planning initiatives for project pre-FEED execution plan and estimate and follow-on FEED execution plan development and estimate.

Responsibilities

• Run an entire project of $7 to $15 million or bid packages on a larger project

• Supervise and direct the daily efforts of the technical and administrative sides of a project

• Project setup and subcontracting strategy

• Contract changes

• Daily communications with owner, architect, and engineers

• Build relationships and communicate with subcontractors

• Owner and in-house reporting

• Write scopes and procedures working closely with construction and engineering teams

• Work with contractors to answer their questions

• Attend technical meeting independently

Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in related field, preferably Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• 10 + years of directly related experience, with average experience of 20 years

• Proven ability to run an entire project of $7 to $15 million or bid packages on a larger project

• Strong procedure writing skills

• Strong scope of work writing skills

• Strong spreadsheet development skills
