Controls Engineer

Our client, a pioneer in autonomous mobility, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing controls and automation solutions to optimize high-volume manufacturing operations. Job Title: Manufacturing Controls Engineer

Location: Fremont and San Carlos, CA

Pay: $65-70/h + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of electrical control systems for equipment and machinery.

• Develop and maintain control systems and HMI programs.

• Implement and debug control system operations.

• Investigate project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with the team on selected areas of the overall solution and support plant start-up activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a related manufacturing industry.

• Advanced PLC and HMI programming skills with some understanding and experience with high-level programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, C++, VB, etc.).

• Experience in safety PLC implementation and safety system integration tasks.

• Good knowledge of government and industry controls and safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

• Experience in implementing/integrating SCADA solutions with automation systems.

• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal software and Siemens PLC, HMI, and automation hardware platforms.
