  • Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a CYME Application Engineer. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates must reside within 50 miles of the following locations to be considered for this position: Bellevue, WA; Raleigh, NC; Hanover, MD; Wilsonville, OR; Pleasanton, CA; City of Industry, CA or Franklin, MA.

    What you'll do:

    Position Overview:

    Eaton is hiring a knowledgeable, collaborative and passionate application engineer to support sales and the promotion of Eaton's CYME software products. The application engineer must possess both strong technical and commercial skills and be experienced in electric utility power distribution, planning, automation and distributed energy. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Eaton's CYME planning software for utility engineers, utility consultants, as well as for Eaton's sales specialists and various internal stakeholders. This role will enable an accelerated sales growth and contribute to the global success of the company.

    In this function you will:

    • Assist sales representatives by conducting detailed technical product demonstrations and solutions presentations onsite and remotely

    • Provide pre-sales and technical support by collaborating with internal Eaton teams, consultants and end customers to identify business problems and to facilitate requirements design thinking sessions, architecture presentations, product feature descriptions and definition of value propositions

    • Participate in existing and new account planning and strategy to drive revenue growth for Eaton's CYME software; provide technical and sales consulting, support for end user CapEx and OpEx investments

    • Provide specific voice of customer feedback to appropriate product, system, solution and service business leaders for future product development, quality improvement, roadmap orientation, customer satisfaction and other purposes

    • Be a change agent for our customers/clients, the sales organization and support new ideas for Eaton's CYME software development and selling initiatives

    • Efficiently manage account specific data using Eaton's CRM (Salesforce)

    • Represent Eaton's CYME at industry and marketing events

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

    • Minimum five (5) years of domain expertise and experience with utility power distribution, planning or automation, developing or deploying, microgrids, distributed energy resources, power distribution, power quality or control solutions for utility or commercial and industrial markets

    • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

    • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

    • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) license

    • Experience working in a utility planning department

    • Five (5) years of experience in technical sales, developing and translating business use cases to solution requirements and architecture documentation, with a focus on electrical products, solutions, software and services

    • Experience with distributed energy resources and related solutions/applications

    • Ability to travel up to 30%

    The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and sales incentive. This position has a total compensation range of $138,750 - $203,500.
