  • Major Responsibilities

    IFE Rack Design

    • Review customer A/C diagrams in order to design for IFE rack products, wire and block diagram.

    • Create Engineering Change Requests (ECR)/ Material Change Order (MCO) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for new and revised assembly drawings.

    • Work within Agile to release new and revised assembly drawings.

    • Work within Windchill, maintaining revision control and able to publish parts and assemblies into Agile.

    • Using a portable loader, load IFE rack products using SW 44Kit and Media applications.

    • Work with the technical staff to fully integrate the IFE Rack ensuring that all functions are working prior to delivery.

    PTS Customer Support

    • Support Technical Services Engineer (TSE) staff when needed.

    • Liaise with engineering groups to ensure that PTS actions are consistent with technical product developments and company processes; revise/write work instructions and other process documents.

    • Serve as a technical resource and escalation point for PTS Operations and customers for troubleshooting and quick resolution of technical issues.

    • Plan support requirements for new system introductions and new customer entry into service technical requirements.

    • Ground Service Equipment (GSE) customer support, includes on the job training (OJT), planning requirements, commission equipment, and review test software related problems.

    • Work with management to support repair station and customer when needed.

    • Work with PAC Technical Publications to support technical data review and the review process.

    • Manage assigned projects by developing actions and a schedule for completion.

    Knowledge/Skill Requirements

    • Knowledge of aviation technical publications methods and standards a plus.

    • Ability to manage projects, using independent judgment to ensure tasks are executed on-time.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Knowledge of In-Flight Entertainment systems and/or avionics.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Visio.

    • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical skills, with a software emphasis (Linux).

    • Self-driven and a high degree of initiative.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • 4 Year Technical or engineering degree or related work experience.

    • Electronics experience within avionics or system level design preferred.

    • Experience with Linux based Operating System desirable.

    Other Requirements

    • Ability to travel domestic and/or international up to 20% of the time.
