  • Job Description Summary

    The Digital Application Analyst Business Partner (DAABP) is responsible for design, development and implementation of new features and enhancements of the electronic Device History Record (eDHR) platform (Apriso) and aligned with Business needs. The technology is deployed in BD's manufacturing sites worldwide.

    The Application Analyst endorses MES / eDHR - Digitalization strategies, plans and processes in support of BDs Factory of the Future (SMART Factory) vision.

    A critical member of the eDHR Global Core Team, the Digital Application Analyst Business Partner

    works closely with technology product owner / manager(s), developers, testers, and site super-users to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet our customer's expectations. This role also provides on-going technical support and troubleshooting for issues that arise during software development and/or deployment.

    This role will interface with other TGS teams and 3rd party vendors as assigned.

    The DAABP confidently represents the eDHR program as a software application subject matter expert and

    • efficiently and effectively navigates required BD/TGS/Program process steps,

    • successfully passes defined phase gates,

    • professionally addresses issues, problem-solves to resolution and/or escalates, as needed

    • ensures milestones and deliverables are met - on time, in-full, as planned

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Understand and evaluate Business needs and objectives of internal customers and stakeholders.

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of software requirements, design and architecture.

    • Provide input and contribute to validation deliverables such as Validation Plan and Validation Summary Report.

    • Support the Platform teams in AMO escalation process and disposition of incidents.

    • Develop and test new features and functionalities for the eDHR Apriso platform using agile methodologies.

    • Ensure the quality, performance, and security of the software by following standard methodologies.

    • Collaborate with other team members and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

    • Communicate effectively with internal customers and collaborators throughout the software development lifecycle, and during issue resolution.

    • Coordinate deployment of new releases to plants

    • Train site super-users on new functionalities and support training team to maintain updated, relevant materials.

    • Document lessons learned and standard methodologies in new release development and AMO process.

    Education and Experience:

    Required

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field.

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in software development, preferably in the Apriso eDHR platform or equivalent.

    • Ability to travel internationally and domestically - approximately 20%

    • Expert knowledge in database systems and SQL.

    • Expertise using software development tools and platforms such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, AWS, or Azure.

    • High competence in problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

    • Clear and effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often multi-functional and cross-regional.

    • Ability to translate complex business / technical needs into simple and manageable requirements; handle partner concerns and risk mitigation as needed.

    • Passionate about Digital Transformation, learning new technologies and trends in the software industry.
