    PURPOSE:

    We are seeking an experienced, high energy, driven, servant leader to lead our Platform Solutions organization. The Director, Platform Solutions will focus on cloud & infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), process improvement, technical disaster recovery planning support and operational system hardening. This senior leadership role is expected to be proficient in cloud & infrastructure engineering and operations concepts including, but not limited to, cloud governance, deployment patterns, provisioning, administration, tagging and management, infrastructure as code, compute, security group management and platform capabilities. Experience in design, implementation, operations & maintenance of High Availability core infrastructure, application, and data systems. This leader will also work with cross functional teams in Information Technology, such as Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Value Streams/Product teams to build out site reliability as a competency.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide strategic vision for new and supported systems by creating roadmaps/value maps in partnership with business stakeholders and IT leadership. Ensure that the appropriate technology and methodologies are applied when translating business requirements into technical and functional solutions. This position will be involved in strategic technology planning and will oversee solution architecture across the current and future portfolio.

    • Plan and execute the department strategy to improve service delivery and the organization. Implement strategies to enable meeting goals and expectations; gather information, frame problems, devise/execute plans, track progress, adjust plans and demonstrate outcomes.

    • Oversee a high performance, system engineering team and create an organization that delivers both compelling system vision and implementation.

    • Leads Compute, Networks, Middleware, Cloud, and supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams.

    • Responsible for coordinating with architecture peers from software development and information security teams to ensure that quality, efficiency, agility, and security goals are achieved.

    • Contributes to the development and execution of the platform solutions strategy, ensuring its alignment with the enterprise technology needs and business strategy.

    • Builds organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensure associates realize their highest potential.

    • Creates and executes tactical plans for the engineering and operations teams.

    • Partners and negotiates with strategic vendors in the realization of platform solutions strategy.

    • Participates/supports incident management and problem resolution, capacity planning/management and availability management in partnership with key stakeholders.

    • Develops, manages to, and executes operational and capital budgets for the function.

    • Drives on-time delivery and execution of key projects while maintaining high quality and high site uptime.

    • Delivers standardized, resilient, reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure platform capabilities utilizing automation and infrastructure as code methodologies.

    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure software CI/CD practices are integrated and effective.

    • Oversees and directs the build, design, implementation and maintenance for storage, security, network, governance, and failover systems.

    • Oversees and directs all aspects of IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Compute and Storage Environments, Virtualization, monitoring and alerting.

    • Drives disaster recovery, business continuity and security audit processes.

    • Implement effective solutions to monitor, measure and track against critical service level metrics, operational costs, and other financial objectives.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    This position manages people.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of education an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

    Experience:

    • 8 years Related professional experience.

    • 3 years Management experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Ability to create a vision & corresponding roadmaps that support that vision.

    • Proven interpersonal skills that enable collaboration and communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.

    • Experience with Migration from on premise infrastructure to cloud platform.

    • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring Cloud Engineers and Software Engineers

    • Deep knowledge of cloud platform as a service (Iaas & Paas) archetype, patterns and antipatterns.

    • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. Azure preferred.

    • Demonstrable knowledge of DevOps culture and modern CI/CD best practices.

    • Prior experience as an infrastructure/cloud engineer, software engineer, architect, or technical product owner.

    • Experience in network protocols, network optimization, QoS, SD-WAN and Network Segmentation.

    • Experience with end-to-end Network, Security and Telecommunications infrastructure and systems within a large enterprise environment and cloud environments.

    • Ability to present technical and non technical information to multiple audiences.

    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

    • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

    • Ability to build relationships across a variety of partner groups in a global environment.

    • Ability to plan and manage complex projects.

    • Knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria.

    • Proficiency with various systems engineering tools and processes.

    • Experience building/optimizing/implementing Site Reliability Engineering.

    Salary Range: $153,440 - $284,823
