  • Description

    The Electrical Design Engineer will support existing controls systems for a manufacturer in Louisville, KY. This position will be figuring out the inputs/outputs, redesigning the system, transferring from Docks to Linux and then handing off to the panel shop.

    Will handle costing/estimating for control system design and retrofits electrical/control panel and motor control center (MCC) design.

    This engineer will also be responsible for

    • Spec-ing parts and preparing quotes

    • AutoCAD design and building BOM's

    • Troubleshoot customer issues via telephone as needed

    • Following asphalt processes

    • Travel 10-15% for training purposes and to make customer visits

    • Help to build and run the Electrical Engineering department as they work to roll out a brand new industry leading control system product

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Experience in Electrical Engineering and process safety controls

    • Experience with Design for new and retro fit equipment

    • Experience with electrical engineering and design for industrial control systems (Motor Control Center)

    • Experience in industries involving liquids and blending are transferable, such as distillery's, or experience with rotary drying systems is a plus
