  • If you are an individual with a strong electrical manufacturing background in the Houston metro area, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! As the Electrical Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for providing diagnostic, troubleshooting, and operational support across the production floor. From the beginning to completion, you will review drawings, spec sheets, and wiring diagrams for accuracy, conduct electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic testing, and serve as the main point of contact with engineering to resolve production issues. Additionally, you will collaborate to ensure actuators meet quality requirements and support training for assembly personnel.

    AS AN ELECTRICAL MECHANCIAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

    • Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, and operational support across the production floor for Pneumatics and Electric's Product line

    • Help Identify inefficiencies in the manufacturing process and correct root causes to ensure continuous improvement

    • Review and correct drawings, spec sheets, and wiring/piping diagrams

    • Serve as the primary point of contact with engineering to resolve production issues

    • Collaborate with quality and engineering to ensure Emerson quality and customer's needs are met

    • Help Identify inefficiencies in the manufacturing process and correct root causes to ensure continuous improvement

    • Ability to use computer software to diagnose and resolve Actuator issues.

    FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

    • High School diploma or equivalent experience

    • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing/ assembly environment

    • Experience reading and interpretation of electrical and mechanical assembly drawings, schematics, and witing diagrams

    • Competent in all aspects of mechanical assembly of actuators including testing and trouble shooting

    • Ability to use computer software to diagnose and resolve Actuator issues.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

    • Experience with Electrical, Pneumatical, and Hydraulic actuators is a plus

    • Experience as a group lead is a plus

    • Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship or Electrical/Technical related degree is a plus
