Electrified Powertrain Multibody Dynamics Engineer

The Electrified Powertrain Engineering (EPE) team is currently looking for a highly qualified and motivated engineer to join in the position of Electrified Powertrain Multibody Dynamics Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of simulations to model the hybrid powertrain's dynamic behavior. You should have a keen interest in analytical engineering and mathematical models but at the same time have the opportunities to work on and test vehicles.

Generate and execute simulation models of hybrid powertrain dynamic behavior
Perform dynamic analysis of engine, transmission and driveline, including analysis of transient torque flow in hybrid and electric drivetrains
Model time-domain and frequency-domain flexible and rigid body dynamic response of hybrid and electric powertrain systems
Perform modal analysis in simulations and hardware testing
Analyze and model forces on powertrain mounts
Optimize mounting configurations and mount parameters to meet dynamic response targets
Perform noise and vibration transfer path analysis and evaluate the effect of design modifications on passenger compartment sound and vibration levels
Model dynamic effects of software control algorithms
Outfit test specimens with appropriate instrumentation to collect desired data
Develop test methods as required to measure quantities of interest
Correlate simulation results to testing results and use that information to refine the model
Create written summaries of projects and lead project reviews with affected teams
Master's Degree in Engineering
3+ years of work experience using modeling software such as AMESim, ADAMS, CARSIM, etc.
1+ year of experience in hybrid powertrain system functionality and attributes
5+ years of work experience in a related engineering function
5+ years of experience using the AMESim modeling software
Demonstrated capability to create and verify mathematical models using commonly-available modeling software
Knowledge of powertrain controls and calibration
