General Summary

We're looking for a high achieving Electronics Test Technician who thrives in a fast, rapidly changing, high-pressure environment to join Astronics - Freedom Communication Technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Electronic Technician degree or equivalent with a good understanding of RF communications

• Experience in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) industry preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.

• Proficiency in measuring devices and instruments

• Demonstrated ability to read prints and specifications

• Average competence in use of available software for report preparation

• Excellent organizational skill, including the ability to maintain our service database

• Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset. Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment

• Ability to work in teams and to think/act quick on their feet

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must understand basic principles of Lean Manufacturing

• Excellent RF and electronic troubleshooting skills

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to customers, channel partners and company management

• Proficiency with standard business software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word.

• Ability to learn our management system and web-based applications

• Ability to clearly recognize and report relevant information.

• Must be a US person.
