Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Electronics Packaging Engineering Senior Manager where you will be involved in managing strategic planning, research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems for all of Lockheed Martin Space's missile development programs nationwide.
â€¢ Lead team for Electronic Computer-Aided Design which includes design, production, and troubleshooting of electronic printed wiring boards.
â€¢ Be the responsible Major Functional Organization (MFO) senior manager for the Electronics Packaging department reporting to the Director of Electronics.
â€¢ Lead to sustain and grow an inclusive, innovative capability for affordable packaging design and analysis supporting electronic and RF products for spacecraft and missile systems.
â€¢ Ensure program execution across Space Systems Company (SSC) by delivering timely and efficient support of packaging engineering personnel, processes, tools, and training aligned with program requirements.
â€¢ Lead front line central engineering and program deployed managers to ensure consistent implementation of Engineering strategic initiatives and discipline best practices.
â€¢ Develop and maintain innovative process and technology roadmaps integrated with overall Space Systems Company strategic business planning to ensure innovative design and analysis capabilities aligned with business and customer needs.
â€¢ Identify, implement, and support efforts to integrate packaging design and analysis tools and practice into Lockheed Martin's Digital Tapestry, enabling seamless end-to-end electronic integration of Engineering and Production activities.
This position can be in Sunnyvale, CA or Denver, CO
You should have:
â€¢ Experience and familiarity with EVMS.
â€¢ Experience being a leader of leaders or leading team of a significant number of direct reports.
â€¢ Experience with handling difficult conversations with both employees and stakeholders
â€¢ Experience hiring/staffing management and experienced professionals
â€¢ Experience with full product life cycle - Knowledge of the definition, interpretation, and implementation of design requirements, coordination and execution of hardware designs, development and integration of hardware for both custom and procured electronic assemblies in accordance with all Lockheed Martin Space engineering process specifications
â€¢ Attend Design Reviews and provide technical feedback from Optical Hardware Electronics perspective
WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:
â€¢ At least an undergraduate degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
â€¢ Relevant experience in the full life cycle of electronics Packaging
YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
â€¢ 15+ years of professional experience for this role.
â€¢ Willing and able to obtain Secret Clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

â€¢ Experience in a technical management role with direct reports.

â€¢ Proven understanding of electronics standards and processes
â€¢ Current or past Certified Product Engineer assignment with experience in the development and Acceptance Test / Buy-off of end items.
â€¢ Ability to communicate how and why a design meets specified requirements both in writing and verbally
