Job SummaryEssential Duties and Responsibilities: + The technician inspects, analyzes and diagnoses a variety of communications and electronic equipment using various testing meters and devices. + Tests circuits, tubes and allied parts; isolates defects and makes shop and field repairs; adjusts, alters and adapts radio and other electronic equipment to meet specific needs for effective operation. Analyzes chronic equipment failure, designs system improvements, estimates project time and costs, and prepares specialized reports of program activities. + In-processes, verifies and finalizes all work requests before Quality Control inspection. + Provides help, advice, and authoritative references to work center supervisors and technicians.+ Inspects work throughout the entire repair process. + Establishes a deficiency analysis program and performs technical reviews.+ Processes material deficiencies. + Reviews work center facility, systems installation and equipment records management. + Performs technical reviews of modification proposals and processes valid proposals according to applicable directives. + Performs hands-on maintenance, when necessary, to instruct/train technicians. + Validates and assists in the development of technicians as needed. + Maintains proficiency on related training tasks. + Performs installation of Radios, navigation equipment. + Perform MWO's and SOUM's update as required. + Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsQualification & Experience Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.+ Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the Electronic Maintenance Field required.+ Must have extensive experience with TMDE, to include AN/GRM-122, NVG test set, multi-meters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.+ Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to military radios and electronics maintenance.+ Have operational knowledge of Laser range finders, PSN, 13, casi's and Processor groups.+ Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of electronic maintenance (related to maintenance functions) and their applications to the contract unit.+ Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.+ Familiar with LOGSA and MMIS system.+ Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.+ Will be required to have a common tool to perform communication equipment repair.+ Must be a US Citizen+ Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport+ Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.Specialized knowledge and skills+ Experienced in using Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) + Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements+ Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements to include the use of AWRDS and GCSS-A+ Familiarity with additional U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) equipment is a plus.
