    The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking is seeking an Engineering Product Lifecycle Management, Process Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.

    The Engineering Product Data Management (PDM) Core team has an opening for a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process Engineer with Teamcenter (or equivalent PDM system) experience. This person will work with a team of PDM Engineers, Process engineers, Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to support military aircraft and missile systems programs with their PDM systems. Our team provides process and tool support for the design and manufacturing engineers that use the PDM systems. We are also responsible for ensuring that the PDM systems meet current customer requirements and are updated as needed to support Boeing improvement initiatives. We have several major activities underway that involve working with these PDM systems and the engineering data housed within them.

    The primary assignment for this position is to provide process and tool support for the major programs at the Boeing - St. Louis site. This includes supporting Design and Manufacturing Engineers in performing their work using the Teamcenter PDM and associated applications.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Engaging with program engineers to resolve issues with their usage of Teamcenter and other applications related to engineering design and manufacturing processes

    • Supporting engineering data delivery to suppliers and customers in specified formats

    • Coordinating with new programs at the St. Louis site to define configuration and data management requirements and configuring Teamcenter to support their needs

    • Working with Systems Engineering and program representatives to understand Model Based Engineering (MBE) requirements and implement them using existing PDM tools

    • Working with cross-functional teams to understand customer and corporate requirements for digital data management and distribution and implement them using our existing PLM systems

    Another activity we are involved in is transitioning the programs at the Boeing-St. Louis site from their legacy PDM tools and process set to go-forward Digital Enterprise tools that support MBE and implement enterprise-level common processes. Assignments in support of this activity involve gaining expertise in the current engineering and production processes and tools and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the go-forward PDM systems in order to support the end users. This includes having an in-depth understanding of the engineering design information and ensuring that the data is effectively migrated into the new systems.

    Typical activities include

    • Participation in the development of process and tool requirements for transitioning existing program activities to common digital enterprise systems and identification of gaps in both processes and tools

    • Supporting PDM system transition activities such as data migrations, data validation and system testing

    • Analysis of engineering data across applications to find issues and determine how to correct the data to ensure consistency

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

    • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

    • 5 + years of PDM system experience at both the user level and working directly with engineering data housed within the PDM

    • Experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.?

    • Experience with product design activities and/or product lifecycle management

    • Experience working with and/or coordinating across engineering disciplines to identify best practices and implement on multiple programs.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter

    • Have worked with data export techniques and data analytics

    • Worked with integrating other disciplines, such as manufacturing engineering

    • Experience with Siemens NX

    Typical Education/ Experience:

    Level 3

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Summary pay range:

    Level 3: $88,400 - $119,600
