    Our client is seeking a Senior Environmental Technician to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia. The role will assist with sample collection of diverse materials including, but not limited to, soil, sediment, water, and air for environmental tests; compile construction quality assurance (CQA) monitoring data related to landfill and environmental remediation construction projects, provide neat, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of all field-related activities to senior level project personnel; and provide additional field and office support to geologists and engineers for a diverse private and public sector client base. The role requires the ability to comprehend construction plans and specifications and a willingness to perform extensive fieldwork and travel for extensive periods of time, including overnights, weekends, and holidays; and a strong willingness to work outdoors with interest in building a career in the environmental consulting field.

    Day to Day

    The technician will be On-site - in charge of a couple of techs or one of those techs (depending on experience)

    They will be Testing SOILS & Geosynthetics

    so anyone from a CONSTRUCTION Testing background would work (Nuke Gauge, Light concrete & Geosynthetics specifically)

    Someone providing construction testing for landfill construction would be great

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversee contractor activities and performance on a wide variety of project including remediation projects, landfill construction, and industrial process projects;

    Perform field and on-site laboratory tests on soil, geosynthetics, aggregates, and other materials primarily associated with landfill and/or waste containment system construction;

    Monitor activities on job sites to assure compliance with relevant contract documents (e.g. technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, CQA plans etc.);

    Provide CQA monitoring on several types of construction and/or environmental activities on enviro-civil construction sites;

    Perform multi-media sampling in support of investigations, monitoring programs, and other data collection centric projects;

    Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules & progress reports;

    Assure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy & procedures;

    Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers & clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open lines of communications and participation in work progress meetings;

    Assist in the preparation of the final reports, work plans, health and safety documents, and the assembly of report appendices;

    Observe and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans and the company's Environmental Health and Safety Management policies and procedures; and

    Perform tasks in other company practice areas including general construction services, environmental sampling, contractor oversight, or construction quality assurance activities, as needed.

    This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional and technical development opportunities
