An Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Savannah, GA area. The Engineering Technician provides technical support in electronic applications and document control processes, specializing in developing site plans using Autodesk Civil 3D, while offering guidance to colleagues and contributing to projects related to water, wastewater, and linear pipelines.

responsibilities

• Perform tasks under general supervision, utilizing electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures to create or modify deliverables.

• Provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.

• Responsible for developing site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation.

• Requires significant experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, including pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces, and plan and profile development.

Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

• Experience with electronic applications and programs, including CADD or other electronic applications.

• Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content.

• Intermediate understanding of industry knowledge and technology trends.

• Intermediate knowledge of company quality program.

Education and Experience

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

• Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
