Engineering, Technology and Systems Development Engineer
Job Description & Qualifications:
This technical engineer position will be responsible for identification, evaluation and development of technology requirements to support facilities integrations between smart buildings, smart cities and consumer experiences. The Engineering and Expert Systems Integrator backgrounds will lead and oversee planning, implementation approaches, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions to ensure end-to- end system development life cycle support to the facilities footprint of Ford.
Lead Engineering for facilities related technologies including research, development and standards development required to implement systems integration activities across the facility footprint
Leading and overseeing a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains
Oversee the preparation of engineering plans and site installation technical design packages
Oversees the work of various Systems Integrators
Assists with the integration of program and project solutions that cut across functional operations and skill teams and therefore require a corporate approach to integration ensuring the multiple parts come together seamlessly to deliver mission capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in STEM degree programs, Computer Science or Management Information Systems
5+ years of experience in Technology Development or Systems Integration or Facilities Operations.
Master's degree in STEM degree programs, Computer Science or Management Information Systems
Expert system integration working experience in R&D, Manufacturing or Commercial facilities integrating large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
Demonstrated experience working within in an agile project management framework
Independent worker and capable of delivering multiple commitments concurrently
Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
