Environmental Engineer

Description

• Evaluate, identify, and implement improvements to facility multi-media (SPCC and Stormwater) environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.

• Perform root cause analyses with operating department personnel and environmental staff to identify effective corrective actions for environmental issues.

• Project management of environmental improvement initiatives

• Dividing time between office and work in a heavy industrial setting

• Perform safety audits, hazard assessments, and safety interactions as required.

• Support plant operations periodically for weekend duty and emergency situations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in Environmental Management

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental

• Ability to learn State and Federal environmental Laws and regulations

• Ability to work self-directed, prioritize work, and handle multiple projects

• Possess excellent written and verbal skills

• Strong communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office products

• Ability to collaborate in both small and large groups
