    The Opportunity

    In this role you will support and assist in developing comprehensive safety and health programs

    for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Distribution Centers ("DCs"). This role involves performing

    comprehensive safety and health assessments of Company DCs, root cause analysis of injuries and

    illnesses, policy and procedure development and implementation, and analysis and review of

    leading indicators of safety.

    This position covers southeastern Company operations (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina,

    Georgia, and Florida), and the occupant of the position must be based within this region.

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Perform comprehensive safety and health assessments/audits of DCs within their assigned

    geographic area.

    • Perform targeted safety and health assessments/audits of key safety and health operational

    or programmatic opportunities.

    • Develop and implement safety and health programs in the DCs in their geographic area.

    • Train, teach, and coach DC Associates on safety and health topics and programs.

    • Perform detailed Root Cause Analyses of injuries and illnesses that occur at the DCs.

    • Conduct accident investigations and corrective action procedures for accidents that meet

    the escalation criteria established by the Company.

    • Oversee implementation of the Company's Hazardous Waste program and chemical

    recycling program at the DCs in their geographic region.

    • Assist in managing abatement and responses to safety and health citations to ensure the

    Company's compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration ("OSHA")

    rules and regulations.

    • Review key safety and health metrics in the DCs within their geographic area on a frequent

    basis and communicate with DC leadership on same.

    • Directly communicate with OSHA, government inspectors, and regulators regarding the

    Company's safety and health programs.

    • Stay current and informed regarding trends in OSHA enforcement to serve as the

    Company's subject matter expert as it relates to occupational safety and health.

    • Develop and monitor safety and health Key Performance Indicators to ensure proper

    execution of policies and procedures.

    • Update Senior Leadership on safety and health metrics and programs.

    • Monitor new safety and health programmatic challenges and keep leadership apprised of

    same.

    • Develop and drive safety and health programs to develop a culture of safety in Company

    DCs.

    • Develop policies, procedures and a comprehensive implementation strategy for all

    identified safety and health standards that impact DCs.

    • Assist, on an as needed basis, with special projects that impact the success of the

    Company's safety and health programs.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years experience in Asset Protection; Environmental, Health and Safety; or retail

    operations.

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination education and experience.

    • Experience in administering programs with regulatory oversight.

    • Strong people skills; the ability to quickly develop relationships and communicate with

    multiple internal and external business partners.

    • Analytical thinking and problem solving; able to creatively solve problems, innovative

    approaches where required with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

    • Detail-oriented and coordination of multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic

    environment.

    • Ability to work flexible schedule.

    • Travel approximately 80%.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices related to health and safety

    compliance.

    • OSHA 30 Certification

    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
