    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Fault Isolation & Management Engineer for Transport at the Wireless NOC supports DISH Wireless' 24/7 Network Operations Center, monitoring the Transport Network and providing next-level troubleshooting for Networking & Transport incident tickets. This role operates with urgency to efficiently restore service, escalating issues to Advanced Operations or Engineering as needed. Successful engineers guide end-to-end troubleshooting of the platform, supporting Network Surveillance Engineers and analyzing and resolving complex network issues. They also escalate complex issues to Advanced Operations, determine root causes for failures, and develop corrective actions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    In this role, you will:

    • End-to-end monitoring of Transport EMS's & observability tools.

    • Incident identification, ticket logging & impact assessment in Service Now.

    • Support Market chat groups, initial troubleshooting & necessary assistance.

    • Oversee incident management process and drive ticket analysis to closure.

    • Collaborate with Advance Ops, Engineering & Vendor teams for critical support.

    • Manage outages, ensure KPIs & SLAs are met, and provide next-level support for Network Surveillance teams.

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    As a successful FIM Engineer Transport, you will have:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field with at least 5 years of telecom/wireless experience.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Proficient in managing 4G/5G NOC shifts and troubleshooting activities.

    • Solid understanding of IP routing, protocols, and transport, including virtualized functions.

    • Familiarity with BGP, ISIS routing protocols, and SR-MPLS, L2/L3VPN technologies.

    • Knowledgeable about Transport technologies and OSI reference model.

    • Capable of organizing schedules, prioritizing tasks, and efficiently resolving incidents.

    Salary Ranges

    Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $110,000.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
