    Job Description

    The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Discipline Lead or Area Lead with responsibility for fire protection scope on assigned projects. The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. Job duties include:

    • Assist in the development and review of project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals

    • Develop, review and monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts

    • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria based on applicable local codes, client, and underwriter requirements

    • Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems

    • Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution

    • Provide technical support in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting

    • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

    • Other duties as assigned
