First Article Technician (FAI) - 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Complete 100% layout first article inspections per print requirements to support new product development work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete first article inspections

• Accurately complete necessary First Article and related documents

• Provide feedback to personnel regarding inspection results in a timely manner.

• Identify print issues where needed.

• Train others on proper equipment and measuring techniques when required.

• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• 3 years machining blueprint reading & GDT experience preferred.

• 3 years machining first article inspection experience preferred.

• History with a wide variety of manual inspection equipment (i.e. bore gages, micrometers, pins, comparator, calipers, etc.).

• Must be able to navigate excel software efficiently.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Effective attention to detail and organized.

• Able to prioritize work when needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Machining background

• CMM Programming

• Ability to read and interpret CMM reports.

• ISO history

• Quality Engineering background

• Typical manufacturing and office environment conditions
