    Job Description

    Our Fuel Quality Control Manager provider is responsible for overseeing the entire fuel quality control program, ensuring that all aviation fuel meets stringent safety and quality standards. This role involves managing a team of quality control technicians and supervisors, developing and implementing quality control procedures, and liaising with fuel suppliers and regulatory agencies. You will ensure regular testing and inspection of fuel, maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes, and addresses any quality concerns promptly. Additionally, you are responsible for training staff, maintaining detailed records and reports, and continuously improving the quality control processes.

    WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A FUEL QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

    • Oversee the quality control processes for aviation fuel at the airport

    • Develop and implement procedures for fuel sampling, testing, and analysis

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for fuel quality

    • Manage and coordinate the activities of the fuel quality control team

    • Conduct regular audits of fuel storage, handling, and distribution processes

    • Train and mentor staff in quality control procedures and safety practices

    • Investigate any fuel quality issues or discrepancies and implement corrective actions

    • You have a great attention to detail

    • You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks

    • Like to build long term relationships with your customers

    • Physical activity may include:

    • Stand and walk for extended periods of time

    • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

    • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

    • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

    Qualifications

    • Minimum age of 18 years old

    • 5-7 years of experience in fuel quality control within the aviation industry

    • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in aviation fuel quality

    • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

    • Knowledge of the Aviation Industry

    • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

    • Ability to pass a drug screen

    • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
