  • Key Responsibilities:+ Implement manufacturing dispatch, scheduling & automation solutions for effective and efficient use of factory resources (equipment, people, generic resources) and optimal product movement+ Coordinate with Production Control, Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Yield Enhancement, Product development and CIM teams to develop and optimize intelligent manufacturing business rules to achieve cycle time, throughput and equipment utilization goals through fab automation solutions.+ Coordinate with systems administration, CIM and IT teams on systems planning, improvements, and mechanisms to ensure high systems availability and performanceFunctional Knowledge+ Engineering degree preferably in Industrial Engineering (IE) or Production Engineering or Manufacturing Science.+ Understanding of key manufacturing science concepts (eg Theory of Constraints, Just-in-time, Lean, Pull/Push systems, production planning and scheduling systems) to sustain factory dispatching and automation policies.+ Understand complex factory automation systems and human interactions+ 2 -5 years experience in working in Semiconductor factoryBusiness Expertise+ Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market+ Project management skills with ability to lead multiple projects concurrently+ Ability to multi task and react to changing fab and business needs+ Ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsLeadership+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements+ Expertise in application of APF products for improving factory productivity+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint . . .)+ Basic knowledge of databases and use of SQL for data collection & manipulationProblem Solving+ Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information+ Strong logical and systems thinking skills, ability to see the "big picture" when developing and recommending solutions to usersImpact+ Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policiesInterpersonal Skills+ Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills+ Communicate well with all levels of management and colleaguesThis position can be located anywhere in the US and the employee would work out of their home office.#LIQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's DegreeSkillsCertifications:Languages:Years of Experience:2 - 4 YearsWork Experience:Additional InformationTravel:Yes, 25% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesApplied Materials is committed to diversity in its workforce including Equal Employment Opportunity for Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.Applied Materials is the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.
