    SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honlolulu, Hawaii . Our Team is based out of Honolulu, Hawaii and creates, manages, and supports IT solutions and infrastructure for USINDOPACOM services. Our designs are secure, reliable, and resilient and support the USINDOPACOM mission and its 5000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems with architecturally unique solutions that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical C2 strategies.

    Essential Job Duties

    This is a fast-paced, critical thinking position that demands high standards. As a senior member of this team, you will protect Command and Control IT solutions in support of USINDOPACOM. The selected candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data-centric network security best practices, as well as secure network and systems design.

    • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for information systems, including networks, server infrastructure, and applications.

    • Configure and manage security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and anti-malware tools.

    • Implement and configure SIEM (Elastic) to collect, aggregate, and identify potential security incidents.

    • Implement and configure SOAR to automate routine security tasks and workflows.

    • Develop and integrate Ansible playbooks for incident response, vulnerability management, and other security processes.

    • Integrate and manage EDR solutions to monitor endpoint activities for malicious behavior.

    • Design integration custom code to generate security-relevant events for the Security Operations Center (SOC), enhancing continuous operational monitoring.

    • Provide risk assessment analysis to map appropriate security controls to identified risks as assigned by the ISSM.

    • Collaborate with other teams to identify areas of improvement and refine the organization's risk management framework.

    • Develop and implement security policies and procedures.

    • Document security processes and procedures. Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR).

    Minimum Requirements

    • Active in-scope Top Secret DoD security clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport

    • Knowledge of NSA's Commercial Solution for Classified (CSfC) solution

    • Thorough understanding of NIST Publications, Risk Management Framework, Executive Order 14028, OMB Mandate M-22-09, and ZTA-related CISA and DOD supporting documents

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent years of related experience

    • A minimum of four (4) years of experience directly related to Security Systems Administration/Engineering

    • An IAT III certification (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH) or higher is required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Information Technology or related discipline

    • Knowledge of the DoD Zero Trust initiatives and its pillars

    • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable but not required

    • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
