Integration Developer (API Connect/IIB)

Our client is looking for an Integration Developer/Architect (IBM Connect and IIB) for a long-term contract.

Description

We are looking for an Integration Developer/Architect for a long-term contract. We need a broad range of skills all around developing software to software communication. This person will need to understand development in the IBM suite and how it integrates with other applications. Need to have a broad technology experience from Web services, supporting workflows and security/network protocols.

General Experience/Skills:

• Experience building/supporting workflows/broker flows in IBM API Connect and IBM Integration Bus

• Experience with Microsoft Message Queue

• Experience with integrations (APIs, web services, APIC, etc) using XML/JSON and tools to convert/manage these types of files/processes (Postman, XMLSpy, etc)

• General understanding of enterprise networks and security (AD, firewalls, IP/Ports, security accounts/groups, etc)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience working with distributed software, particularly with software-to-software communication.

• Experience with IBM API Connect.

• Experience with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI standards.

• Experience with the OAuth standard.

• Experience with APIs, Messaging and other Integration Patterns.

• Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (aka ACE, IIB, WMB), MuleSoft, Apache Camel or other integration broker/IPaaS.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud and Azure integration services such as Event Hubs, Service Bus and Logic Apps.

• Microsoft Azure certifications can help as differentiators.

• Experience with Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ or other event streaming and messaging platforms is beneficial.

• Structured thinking.

• Pragmatic and resilient mindset.

• Experience in delivering scalable and high-performance services.

• Strong communication skills to work with global multicultural teams, English required.

• Expert in understanding software development lifecycle.

• Automotive and/or financial banking industry experience preferred.
