IT Security Engineer

Description

Robert Half is searching for an IT Security Engineer to join an evolving team. The IT Security Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the security of the organization's digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including monitoring security tools, implementing threat intelligence initiatives, managing endpoint security, and conducting incident response activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technologies and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and report on escalating anomalies

• Implement threat intelligence projects to enhance our security posture

• Manage endpoint security solutions and collaborate with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs)

• Conduct security awareness reporting and training sessions

• Proactively investigate incident queries and analyze incoming security alerts

• Perform hands-on incident response activities

• Provide fast and responsive support to security-related issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Solid experience in endpoint protection, mobile security, or firewall security

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices

• Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud-based security tools

• Hands-on experience with security incident response (IR) procedures

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Efficience and enthusiasm to thrive in a dynamic company culture

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated proficiency (3+ years) in deploying and managing a variety of security technologies, such as PAN/Cisco Network Firewalls and VPN, NAC, EDR, MDR, File Integrity Management, IPS/IDS, Application Firewalls, Vulnerability Scanner, Email Protection, Internet Security, Content Filtering, SSO/MFA, PKI, SIEM Logging & Monitoring, ATP, and DLP

• Hands-on experience in incident management, including critical incident response and security event handling

• Ability to implement network and host security policies effectively

• Familiarity with Cloud and email infrastructure security

• Capacity to manage and lead multiple projects concurrently
